Elizabeth contacted me through my website to ask if I could design a logo for her. As it stands, Elizabeth hasn’t actually started her blog or planned any posts – she wanted to get her logo created and finalised before anything else! I think this is super wise! Once the ‘face’ of your brand has been developed, you can begin to build upon this through website design, social media and branding collateral. You will also be able to write a business plan and research subjects for blog posts with a greater understanding of your visual branding identity.
So, I provided three options of designs for Elizabeth. One was actually an unused concept from another of my lovely clients! I mentioned this to Elizabeth and it didn’t bother her at all! Funnily enough, it was the one she selected as she believes it fits her ideas perfectly!
With Elizabeth thinking she’d like her blog to provide anecdotal advice to new mums, the selected logo was to be approachable, friendly – as well as clear, cute and a little quirky. Elizabeth and I both think that the developed logo is just that!
The colour palette is a collection of soft, genter-neutral, pastel shades which will work so well on- and offline.
The little stork is so cute, with the bundle of joy gently dropped from the beak. The lines are so clean and the design looks fresh and clear.
Whilst the primary logo will look wonderful for social media, branding collateral and marketing materials; the landscape version will look great on the blog.
All in all – an amazing project to work on. I hope to help Elizabeth work on her blog set up and population, as well as further design work!
