The owner of The Scented Garden Candles, Bec, uses all kinds of ingredients in her soy candles, includings lots of flowers – roses petals and lavender buds – and wanted this floral aspect reflected in her logo.
Bec likes to experiment with her candle scents so I wanted to mirror this in the nature of her logo; I created an arc of pretty, bouncy flowers to make the design playful and cheerful. In the alternate, this arc is flipped to create a circle of flowers.
The typeface is rounded and works really well with the placement of the flowers, in keeping with the friendly idea for the brand design.
Bec wanted a pink and purple logo concept to complement the rose and lavender that she uses within her candles, so I selected a range of muted and tonal shades which look so pretty together. And each of these flowers can be used individually in graphics for marketing materials, social media and website artwork.
The style guide denotes the typefaces and colours used, as well as the alternate logo and key elements. The moodboard supports the brand with the pink and purple flowers.
